This coming year there will be karst sessions at the European Geosciences Union General Assembly at Vienna from 19 to 24 April 2009.
Abstract submission is open since a couple of weeks with a deadline of January 13th 2009.
This year you will be able to choose one of the three following Karst geomorphology sessions:
NH9.2/GM7.3
Natural and anthropogenic hazards in karst areas
Convener: M.Parise. Co-Conveners: J.De Waele, F.Gutierrez
GM7.1/NH9.3
Surface and Subsurface Karst Geomorphology
Convener: J.De Waele. Co-Conveners: M.Filipponi, L.Plan
GM7.2/NH9.4
Karst systems: dynamics, evolution and paleoenvironmental recordings
Convener: E.Gilli. Co-Convener: J.De Waele
For abstract submission please go here
As always there is possibility to ask for financial support for young scientists and/or non-European scientists (especially from developing countries). Deadline for abstract submission with request of support is 7 December 2008!!
As last year, we hope to be able to make these three karst sessions successful. A selection of presentations will be invited to submit a full paper for Geodinamica Acta and another ISI listed journal (to be decided once the abstract submission will be completed).
Hope to hear from you soon.
Best wishes
Jo De Waele
