One of the last things a caver wants to hear are these words: “Errr...guys...our flashlight batteries are running low.”
Any caving enthusiast worth her salt will tell you each caver should carry at least three light sources. The main source should preferably be a headlamp that can withstand harsh treatment and exposure to mud and humidity. For secondary light, a waterproof flashlight would be sufficient. Regular cavers vouch for the small Mini-Mag that can be carried in your pocket or around the neck.
