The GERMAN SPELEOLOGICAL FEDERATION (VERBAND DER DEUTSCHEN HÖHLEN- UND
KARSTFORSCHER) kindly invites to the International Conference of Alpine Speleology. The aim of this meeting is to present the alpine speleology for public authorities and non governmental organisations for nature protection. The legislation of the EU like FFH/ Natura 2000 and National Parks or biosphere reserves affect everybody likewise. In working groups should be worked out all topics like speleology in protected areas, climate data from caves, biology, geology, ecological education and cave protection but also cave research and cave rescue.

The AUSTRIAN SPELEOLOGICAL FEDERATION (VÖH) will held his general assembly
during this conference (Saturday, 08.30h City Hall, Ramsau).
The long night of caves
On November 10th 2007, during the ALPIN-UNDERGROUND, the 2.”THE LONG NIGHT OF CAVES” will take place in the Spa Hotel of Berchtesgaden. Conference participants and all interested people are kindly invited to participate and to register with own films or slide shows with cave topics in German or English language.
